Youth FX Presents: Storying as Reclamation

Join Youth FX and Dr. Caroline N. Sharkey, visiting assistant professor at the University at Albany’s School of Social Welfare, for the community screening and discussion of a youth participatory action research project, “Storying as Reclamation.” This work culminates a 2022 dissertation study involving youth co-researchers to examine youth voice, collective efficacy, and the power of arts-based approaches to building community. The data from the interviews, focus groups, and behind-the-scenes were shaped into a powerful documentary and data poems that seek to re/orient community-engaged research into works of social and collective action.
